Whether you are looking for an afternoon pick-me-up, a cold refreshing drink to relieve the heat, or an after-dinner digestive agent, limoncello is there!<\/p>

Walking down the streets of Sorrento, Capri, and Amalfi there is a flood of vibrant lemon patterns<\/strong>, lemons the size of some people\u2019s heads, and limoncello.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Limoncello is a liquor traditionally made with the zest of Femminello<\/em> lemons, native to Sorrento<\/strong>.<\/p>

This is one of the few drinks served chilled.<\/p>

Often limoncello is served before or after a meal as a digestive aid<\/strong>. While sipping on limoncello after a meal it is important to cheers for good health<\/strong>!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

There are several different tales about the origin of limoncello<\/strong>, however, I was told that it was created due to the mass production of lemons.<\/p>

The Sorrento climate, infact, allows lemons to thrive and as they say, “when life gives you lemons make limoncello” or something like that.\u00a0<\/p>

My favorite way to drink limoncello is in a Limoncello Spritz<\/strong>!<\/p>

On a hot summer day when you have been by the water all day and are finally ready to relax an ice-cold spritz is the perfect remedy.<\/p>

As aperitivo<\/a>, Limoncello Spritz is a delightful combination of limoncello, prosecco, and club soda<\/strong>.<\/p>

It is the epitome of summer and sunshine in a cup. The lemony flavor paired with the bubbles is perfect<\/strong>!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Another popular way<\/strong> to drink limoncello is the Limoncello slush<\/strong>.<\/p>

It is similar to an American Slush Puppie, a frozen lemonade with a slight kick.<\/p>

You can find stands along all the roads, often served in a giant carved-out lemon.\u00a0<\/p>

If you love a sour treat that is also good for your health, limoncello and Sorrento is the perfect place to be<\/strong>!<\/p>
