It treasures a <strong>splendid staircase made with marble from the Vesuvius<\/strong>\u00a0that dominates the homonymous square.<\/p>\n<p>Initially dedicated only to Saint Prisco, the church was built around the <strong>fifteenth century<\/strong> and managed directly by the faithful who lived in the small surrounding village. Made of marble and hard stones with floral motifs. The right aisle of the last chapel\u2019 altar is a very characteristic artwork by the studio of <strong>Dionisio Lazzari<\/strong>. This chapel also has a particular flooring, in <em>opus sectile<\/em>, with square and rectangular marble shapes, dating back to the first century and coming from the <strong>Roman villa of Pollio Felice in Sorrento<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, you will find, among the various artworks, the statue of <strong>the dead Christ<\/strong>\u00a0carried in procession during the services of Good Friday and a <strong>wooden statue of the Siant Prisco and Saint Agnello<\/strong> of the eighteenth
