About Sorrento Social Contest 2026: The Theme
After the success of previous editions, the About Sorrento photography social contest returns for its 7th edition.
“Time cannot be seen, but it can be captured in a photograph.”
This is the starting point of the 2026 edition of the About Sorrento Photo Contest.
This year, we invite you to explore and portray Time on the Sorrento Coast –
not the time marked by clocks, but the kind you can breathe in the narrow stone-paved alleys, see reflected on the surface of the sea, or feel in the green corners of our land.
Time that lives in everyday rituals or in certain seasons of the year;
time that returns with the changing of the seasons, that resists in traditional gestures and rhythms.
Time you glimpse in the faces of people, in colors that shift month by month, in the tuff stone of ancient homes.
Time that passes – or that seems to stand still.
We invite you to capture, through your lens, your personal vision of time in the stunning Sorrento Peninsula.
A land rich in history, culture, and emotion, embracing six towns – Sorrento, Sant’Agnello, Piano di Sorrento, Meta, Vico Equense, and Massa Lubrense – where time bends, expands, and becomes memory and feeling.
Time that flows slowly along the cliffs overlooking the sea and across the ridgelines shaped by Mediterranean vegetation.
Show us how you live it, how you feel it, how you see it.
Every photo tells a story. Every perspective can become part of a shared tale.
As usual, 12 photographs will be selected to be part of the About Sorrento Calendar 2025, and the selected authors will receive free copies of the calendar.
Rumore Art Club is partner of the 2026 contest.
As a reminder, the management of the contest is supported by the communication company Stylo Project, which supports and structures the About Sorrento project.
#Aboutsorrento2026: Guidelines to Participate
ENTRY GUIDELINES
The participation in the contest is totally free and open to everyone: amateur or professional photographers, with no limit of age or origin.
Each participant may submit an unlimited number of photos.
To enter the contest is necessary to:
a) Send your photos to contest@aboutsorrento.com
Also if you want your photo to be chosen as photo of the day on our social channels, don’t forget:
on Instagram to tag the page @aboutsorrento and use the hashtag #aboutsorrento2026
on Facebook to tag the page @aboutsorrentocoast and use the hashtag #aboutsorrento2026
For large files, we recommend using the free cloud transfer service WeTransfer (www.wetransfer.com).
TECHNICAL DETAILS
To participate in the selection of the 12 shots that will make up About Sorrento’s 2026 calendar, original photos must meet the following technical specifications:
Each participant can enter the contest with one or more photos.
Each participant must write a title, the author’s first and last name, phone number and country of origin.
JPG, PNG or TIFF files are allowed. Photos may be in either landscape or portrait orientation (3:2 or 2:3 ratio) with a minimum size of 30 x 20 cm (or 20 x 30 cm) and a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
About the photos:
a) they need not be unpublished.
b) each shot must be submitted without any signature or trademark.
c) the photos must not contain recognizable persons in face, must have releases from the photographed subject (specify this in the email with which you send the photo(s)).
d) Photos depicting minors are not allowed.
In addition, we specify that:
the selected pictures for the calendar will be accompanied by the author’s details (First Name, Last Name and Title) following a common graphic line.
The shots containing other logos or trademarks inserted for advertising purposes will not be considered.
The photos that do not respect these rules will be automatically excluded from the calendar but will still be published by ABOUT SORRENTO on the relevant social channels.
The organizers will refrain from participating in the contest.
All photos submitted by contest participants will be reviewed and judged by a qualified jury composed of experts in the field.
DEADLINE
All participants may tag or submit photographic material up to and including November 2, 2025 (no later than 11:59 p.m.).

PRIVACY & LIABILITY
Each participant is responsible for each photo submitted, therefore he/she agrees to exclude any liability of the organizers of the above to third parties, including to any subjects depicted in the photographs.
Each participant also declares that he/she is the sole author of the images sent to the About Sorrento group and that the photos submitted do not infringe on the rights of third parties.
The organizers reserve the right not to publish photos that do not comply with the rules or that are deemed offensive, improper and harmful to human and social rights, according to common moral, ethical and decency rules.
COPYRIGHTS AND USE OF CONTEST MATERIAL
The rights to the photographs remain the exclusive property of the author.
By submitting the photo, the author authorizes its publication and use by About Sorrento and any partners.
The author also authorizes AboutSorrento to the publication and use on the Internet of the images without profit and with citation of the author’s name and, where possible, by any explanatory notes indicated by the same.
Please note that the personal data provided by the contestants will be used exclusively for activities related to the “About Sorrento” initiative.
