From September 10 to 12, 2025, the seaside town of Meta on the Sorrento Coast becomes a vibrant open-air stage with Meta Mare in Festa 2025. This unique festival blends religious devotion, culinary traditions, music, and street performances, attracting visitors from across Italy and abroad.
At the heart of the event is the Meta Buskers Festival, a celebration of street art and live performances, which transforms the historic Marina di Meta and Alimuri Beach into a spectacular cultural hub.
Tradition Meets Street Art in Meta
Organized by the Municipality of Meta and the Pro Loco Terra delle Sirene, Meta Mare in Festa is officially recognized as an “Event of Quality” by UNPLI, a prestigious title awarded to festivals that highlight authentic Italian traditions and cultural heritage.
The festival combines devotion to Madonna del Lauro, Meta’s patron saint, with contemporary artistic expression and local gastronomy. Visitors can enjoy an authentic tasting tour along the Marina: with a ticket of just €15, guests can try two first courses, two second courses, wine, dessert or fruit, plus coffee or limoncello — all prepared by local restaurants and beach clubs.

September 10 – Opening Night
Launch of the food tasting tour at Marina di Meta.
Street performances: acrobatics, illusionism, live painting, sand art by Donatello Pentassuglia, and intimate theater experiences by Humana Theatre.
