Sorrento - Cinema
From December 1 to 4, 2025, Sorrento will once again become the capital of Italian cinema, hosting the Professional Days of Cinema — the country’s most prestigious industry event.
Organized by ANEC (National Association of Cinema Exhibitors) in collaboration with ANICA (National Association of Cinematographic, Audiovisual, and Digital Industries), the event gathers over 2,000 film professionals every year, including producers, distributors, exhibitors, journalists, and cultural institutions.
Presented in preview during Ciné – Giornate Estive di Cinema in Riccione, the 2025 edition carries the theme “Growing”, symbolizing innovation, collaboration, and the evolution of the Italian film industry within a global landscape.
Previews and conventions at the Professional Days of Cinema
A highlight of the event is the line-up presentations by Italy’s major film distributors. Through exclusive conventions, trailers, sneak previews, and star appearances, professionals and guests gain a first look at upcoming 2026 film releases.
The main screenings will take place in Sorrento’s most iconic venues, including:
- Teatro Tasso in the historic center
- Hilton Sorrento Palace – Sala Sirene
These screenings often feature Q&A sessions with directors and cast members, creating an engaging experience for both industry insiders and the local audience.
Alongside the screenings, the Professional Days feature thematic panels, conferences, and workshops focusing on key issues in the film industry.
