Sorrento - Eventi free - mostra

From 15 May to 14 June 2026, the rooms of Villa Fiorentino will host the collective exhibition “Turning to the Light”, one of the most anticipated events of the Sorrento Contemporary Art programme.

Curated by Rossella Savarese, the exhibition brings together 19 international artists in an exhibition itinerary that explores the role of light as a central element in contemporary artistic research.

An event that transforms Sorrento into a point of reference for international contemporary art, with installations, site-specific works, performances and moments of discussion with the public.

Turning to the Light: exhibition between light, art and research

“Turning to the Light” was born as a global artistic research project, in which the sign and light become fundamental expressive tools.

The concept is also inspired by the visual language of Paul Klee and his work Hauptweg und Nebenwege, suggesting an idea of a path between main and secondary streets, a metaphor for the possible directions of contemporary art.

Light, understood as an autonomous medium, guides the entire exhibition:

  • symbolic element
  • narrative tool
  • force capable of generating connections between works

The result is an immersive experience that involves the viewer in a continuous dialogue between space, matter and perception.
